The end of Kali Yuga period is timely news for all of us to forgive and forget, in order to restore the depleting Ozone Layers which have melted all the icebergs for dangerous marine perception which could be avoided as we embrace one another in the spirit of love, by the presence of the Uni versal Lover of Our Time, to give us this Great opportunity to live together in love, peace and harmony. CAN’S CALL FOR PRAYER WALK BY CHRISTIANS AGAINST INSECURITY IS HYPOCRITICAL.

Recent call by Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, for prayer walk by Christians against insecurity in the land that resulted in Christians trooping out on the streets of major cities down South is hypocritical. It is a big affront on the collective intelligence of Nigerians who have always been at the receiving end of their con-men business of the more you look, the less you see.

This view is born out of the fact that since the advent of militant prayer-warrior Pentecostal religious movement in Nigeria, with direct or indirect heavy back-up fund from Euro-Arabians expansionist forces who are clandestinely rooting to re-colonize the Black Race, the meddlesomeness into Nigeria’s political space by religious clerics has been loudly pronounced.

Due to misplaced perception of wielding over-bearing influence on the members of their congregations that constitute the electorates, religious clerics are more or less like behind the scenes political stakeholders, who stop at nothing by employing all kinds of intrigues to outwit the high and mighty in society for maximum self-advantage.

The imperative to satisfy their primitive wealth acquisitive instinct has shamelessly misled them to derail from their primary objective of shepherding their flock as regard soul-redemption. Rather, they have become prosperity preachers and doom predictors, who employ all kinds of extortive arrange players to avert the calamity.

In the light of the above, I call on Mr. President to keep close tab on the activities of religious leaders before their nefarious activities get out of hand. Our not too ugly long experience with Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), is still very fresh in our memories. From the look of it, CAN and its members seem not to be very comfortable with Mr. President’s determined efforts to block all loopholes used in draining our national till by these hypocrites who failed to condemn political “stealocrats” because they are complicit to the game.

They equally hate with passion Mr. President’s unwavering commitment in dealing with “stealocrats” spread across the various segments of our national institutions, because they too are involved. Hence, there is over-riding imperative for EFCC and ICPC to spread their anti-corruption dragnet on churches in order to unravel the source of their sudden opulence and stupendous wealth over the last 20 years.

CAN PRESIDENT, REV. SUPO AYOKUNLE’S PRAYER CALL IS FRADULENT AND HYPOCRITICAL.

Recent call by the President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Rev. Supo Ayokunle for seven days prayers for thirty minutes daily to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is utterly fraudulent and hypocritical. The call is yet another game of deceit to sustain the evil vice-grip of neo-colonialist who use unsubstantiated alien religious doctrines and dogmas to silently and gradually kill the psyche of Black humanity and predispose them as vulnerable guinea pigs for testing all kinds of Oyinboman’s finished products, notably weapons of mass destructions like arms and munitions, vaccines, fertilizer etc.

These unrepentant religious hegemons take undue advantage of the gullibility of their spiritually deprived victims to prosper their business conglomerates, cleverly adorned in religious garb. For the avoidance of doubt, spiritual renegades who through their obscene exploitative intrigues defraud sincere Seekers of Truth should bear in mind that there is time for everything. They can deceive the people for some time, but certainly not all the time. It is equally instructive to remind them about nature’s rule that he who sows the seed of deceit, reaps the fruit of deceit. CAN’s call for prayer to curb the spread of Coronavirus is a tacit admittance of the failure of Holy Ghost Fire descend and consume mantra.

What happened that the so-called men of God who predict doom in order to swindle the high and mighty of hard-earned income did not foresee and foretell the visit of the agent of death, called Coronavirus? The health challenges posed by the Coronavirus is real and naturally it wouldn’t have been misplaced expectation that members of CAN would have used their “touch and fall” prayer warrior healing powers to heal those who have tasted positive to Coronavirus, at least to prove to the world the efficacy of their miracle healing powers. Rather than do so, they prefer to be on the run and now they are calling for prayers. Who is fooling who?

Just imaging the irreparable collateral damage these spiritual charlatans have done to our race with their mind-bending games of deceit. Homes have been broken on account of religion. The so-called prayers never had any positive impact on the crisis ravaging the homes state of those who gave us Bible and Koran to read, close our eyes to pray and by the time we opened our eyes, our collective patrimony developed wings and flew to Europe, America and far East. Right now, Saudi Arabia is bombarding Yemen and Qatar with the most sophisticated of heavy artillery bombs. Prayers did not stop the seeming war of attrition between Israel and Palestine. Nigeria can’t afford to risk another Kariji or Biafra wars, let alone Kaffiri stigmatization, subtly masterminded by failed invading forces from Europe and America, who are now using the so-called men of God to recolonize Atlantis Children.

They have failed. The antidote to Coronavirus lies on our unconditional love for one another and not any form of useless prayers that have nothing to offer to man. As first Children of the Creator, Nigerians and indeed Black humanity should feel happy, feed well on organics and live virtuous life in conformity with our culture and tradition and for sure, the hovering ghost of Coronavirus, which I buried on March 21, 2020, at City Hall, Lagos, during My Public Lecture titled “ABSOLUTE END TO MODERN-DAY SLAVERY AND THE ONLY WAY FORWARD” will disappear to where it came from.

Nigeria and the whole world by virtue of their hosting right of the Great Light of Creation, enjoys natural immunity from Coronavirus. Hence, only the re calcitrant and deviant mortals who do not believe in love and peaceful co-existence of the human race are indebted to COVID-19 and to pay, they must, since man reaps what he sows.

Yes, COVID-19 is here to teach those who are sinning and repenting with a view to seeing God of the dead, postmortem, bitter lessons of existence because it is said in the scriptures that the soul that sinneth must die. You can’t eat your cake and have it!

RELIGIOUS GROUPS MUST RESCUE US WITH SUBSTANTIAL PALLIATIVES.

The consequence of aged-long man’s inhumanity to man, culminating from hiding the original and true name of the Creator, Maharaj Ji from His children have of recent, thrown the whole world into a comatose state of hypochondria. Hypocrisy and hatred have ruled the world to a point where the Seven Elements, Sun, Moon, Stars, Air, Water, Fire and Mother Earth are giving warning signals to erring man, who is limited in time and space, to wake up and walk on the path of righteousness or be ready to face the consequences of his ill-conceived actions and inactions against himself.

In the face of the sordid global state of affairs, it is time for penitence and restitution aimed at placating the elements for them to sheath their swords. In view of the fact that the Blacks were subtly manipulated by the Whites, to abandon the Creator’s culture of Love, which was encapsulated in Nucleus culture and tradition to embrace alien religious mono-cultural values that is creating imbalance in the wheel of Creation and leaving the human race terribly devastated and ultimately pushing the world to the precipice of collapse, all the religious group are to pay members of their congregation substantial palliatives for attunement for their sins of deceit and misleading humanity to believe that the world is a cosmic-joke.

The various religious groups in Nigeria should direct their headquarters abroad to pay into Nigeria’s coffer, on behalf of their flock, the under-listed sums of money as palliative dues arising from funds earned illegally through the use of paraphernalia or adjectival names for the Creator as Allah, God, Yahweh, Jehovah, etc., that made the Creator look like horse on paper, instead of Maharaj Ji, the potent Holy Name that never fails and provides solutions to human’s problems like Coronavirus, within seconds, when called upon silently from the heart.

The Muslim group in Nigeria should demand the sum of $500 Billion from Saudi Arabia. The Catholics should ask Rome to pay $600 Billion while all Protestant group, Anglican, Methodist etc., should ask Britain to pay $600 Bil lion. Though the Pentecostals have its roots in Nigeria with active sponsorship from both Europe and America, donor countries/organizations that provided seed fund that facilitated their deceptive fraud on Blacks should all together pay $600 Billion. This is because there is no way one can know the spirit possessing our so-called close relations because the life of man is, now purely, based on the physical. To worsen the state of existence of man, particularly the blacks, coded books were written in order to strangulate them and deny them the opportunity of knowing the original name of the Creator, Maharaj Ji. The European aristocratic class illegally conspired to expunge the original true and potent name of the Creator, Maharaj Ji from the scriptures in AD 21 and AD 60 during their conferences held in Constantinople. Hybrid and impotent names like God, Gott, Tettragamaton, Allah, etc. were brought in place of Maharaj Ji.

The mighty women of valor capitalized on this enthroned game of deceit to de-spiritualize the blacks in order to render them highly vulnerable and willing prey to their evil antics. During the 1995 Beijing women conference, the same women sponsored the retrogressive bill, which sought to make it lawful for a woman to marry two husbands at the same time. This has been the prevailing scenario before the coming of Satguru Maharaj Ji to debunk that falsehood. Today, we are more conscious and wiser to know that one can see God alive in line with the scriptural in junction: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God; alive and not dead. Five out of these nine women namely: Queen Elizabeth II, Ngozi Ejimadu, Mfon Abasi, Banuso and Kikelomo are still alive while the rest have gone to heaven-above in the sky, awaiting so-called judgment day. The last four received the Divine Knowledge of Maharaj Ji and were the ones The Sat guru, in His game of love to save the world, used to infiltrate and destroy the rank and file of the various covens of these evil-minded entities.

1. Reduce price of petrolperlitre to N 76 in order to attract more revenue in the area to about 24 billion plus, per day.
2. Build toll gates all over the roads and that would add more to it, but it has to be properly controlled.
3. Banks should function 24 hours a day, including Saturdays.
4. Introduce price control for all foodstuffs.
5. Set up rent/tenant control all over the federation, stopping all Land lords from ejecting any tenant from his property without court judg ment.
6. All schools to be opened to operate.
7. Pay all above 65 years the monthly stipend of theories N10,000 for all inconvenience.
8. Uniform Policemen and Soldiers to enjoy free transport on all official engagements while in uniform.
9. Establish 90 telephone lines to receive complaints/reports from the public on any act of denial of rights, abuse of office and denial of justice in any form.
10. Ban sales and consumption of Alcoholic Drinks in higher Institutions.
11. All ex-Presidents to donate towards palliatives fund.
12. All past Ministers to raise/donate towards fund.
13. All ex-Governors to raise/donate towards fund.
14. IBB to donate/raise $500 billion towards fund/investigate and trace funds to Maryam Babangida and Odugwu family.
15. Abdulsalam to raise/donate $50 billion to the fund.
16. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome to donate/raise 1 billion Euros to the fund from moneys made through the church.
17. Pastor Adeboye to raise N50 billion to the fund.

BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO SHOULD WITHDRAW HIS DEATH THREAT ON NIGERIANS WITHIN TWO WEEKS.

One of the smartest proprietors of Zionist Indoctrination Business Centres in Nigeria, David Oyedepo, was recently reported in the social media to have proclaimed death sentence on both the government and people of Nigeria. Oyedepo’s grouse, we learnt, arose from the lockdown ordered by The Federal Government as one of the counters measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

It will be recalled that COVID-19 took the world community by storm and governments across the globe went to the drawing board to work out possible ways and means of bringing the situation under control. Hence, the Federal Government of Nigeria, without prejudice, in line with its constitution al responsibility of defending and protecting the fundamental human right to life of Nigerians, introduced the mandatory lockdown as one of the initial measures to contain the pandemic. The government’s decision, no doubt, was in line with its obligatory duty to protect Nigerians and to guarantee social/natural justice, freedom and liberty for the living, since it said, if there is life; there is hope, the attendant hardship of the decision, notwithstanding.

How then can David Oyedepo read sinister meaning and take exception to government’s action that was taken in the general interest of Nigerians, irrespective of tribe or religious persuasion, to swear for all of us? Is he God, by the way? The fact is well-known that David Oyedepo, as a parasite to the Nigerian economy rose to limelight on the sweat of Nigerians to the point of becoming one of the richest past storytellers (pastors) in the world; through the pursuit of his Zionist agenda of enslaving Blacks who are under arrest in his Spiritually Displaced Peoples Camp. Is he the one that should wish us dead again?

Besides swearing on Nigerians, it was equally reported that Oyedepo brazenly flouted both the Federal and State Governments’ lockdown order and went ahead to conduct church services, which gave rise to Ogun State Po lice Command warning him to beware and show respect to constitute authorities of the land. Due to insatiable lust for primitive wealth acquisition, Oyedepo got carried away and forgot the scriptural injunctions: Give unto “Caesar, what belongs to Caesar” as well as “give honor to whom honor is due” Rom 13:5-7 and Mark 12:17. He equally forget that it is said, “the Scriptures are dead; the law is your life” (Essence Gospel Matt 13:10-13) Oyedepo ignored these injunctions and irresponsibly went ahead in his contemptuous act against the government that derived its authority from the very peo ple he is exploiting to sustain his business conglomerate.

In his overzealousness, Oyedepo, though My son spiritually, got possessed by his game of deception and was prodigious to the point of behaving like an indecent enigma and a rebel who has no respect for the laws of the land. Within the confines of his fiefdoms, which he presides as an emperor, he can do what he likes, and nobody cares, since judgment is of the Creator, who in His infinite love, mercy compassion, and His stillness records all activities of mortal beings living on the planet. But then, he needs to be told that he is not above the law of the land. These irrational behaviors show, that Oyedepo is a Blackman in body, but in spirit, is something else.

In the light of the above, Nucleus Ancestors have given David Oyedepo fourteen days to retract his dead wish against Nigerians and tender anunre served apology to Nigerians or risk the wrath of the Ancestors and the seven elements in Creation. Also, Oyedepo should be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction and tried for gross insubordination to constituted authority, because no sane government, anywhere in the world can stomach Oyedepo’s gross act of irresponsibility. In America, China, Europe he can’t try what he did and get away with it. Those who attended Oyedepo church service within the lockdown period and those they had contact with should be identified and strictly monitored over a period of time, and if possible quarantined, because he has proven to all and sundry that he is an enemy the Black man. of

What Nigerians expected from Oyedepo was to use his self-acclaimed pow er of healing and anointing to give us the solution to COVID-19 and not swear for us. This is the hour for Oyedepo who, some time ago flew his wife in his private jet, to one of the best hospitals in US for Medicare for nearly a year, because Holy Ghost fire disappointed him, to show love and get involved in providing substantial palliatives measures to enable the government to reduce the hardship of his flock. We are informed that Oyedepo’s universities are one of the most expensive in the country, making it unaffordable for children of vulnerable members of his church to attend. This is also time to bring down the school fees so that all the children of members of his congregation, irrespective of their financial status can attend and enjoy the fruit of the labor of their parents/guardians.

Oyedepo should stop deceiving himself, because it said in the scriptures that “search the scriptures, for in them, ye think ye have eternal life; but they are which testify of me; and you will not come to me, that ye might have life” John 5:39-40. We are saying this because the people can be deceived, only for some time, but definitely not forever, for behaving like lawmakers who know the Truth; but fail to embrace the Truth and are blocking others from taking a step. Oyedepo is under manipulation and is not conscious of the fact that Blacks are the first children of the Creator on Earth. Hence, he doesn’t know that it was the same mistake of misleading and misdirecting the people, due to selfishness and hatred, which he is making now that led to the Atlantis deluge that got the Blackman and parts of the original African landmass submerged under water for centuries and later re-emerged with fair skin as Oyinboman to inhabit the much younger continents, we now know as Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia etc.

This same Blackman, now in fair skin, who is yet to learn his lessons, brought the Holy Book, with unsubstantiated doctrines and dogmas, which he is now using in his game of deception, to aid and albeit the Oyinboman to maintain his hegemonic control over his senior brother.

Finally, for Papa Oyedepo and his likes, Divine Knowledge is the answer. Hence, he should not be blamed. He should therefore, come for My Divine Knowledge, which will reconnect him with the Divine Light of the Creator inside him. The moment his body is full of Light, darkness will disappear in stantly. Matt 6:22

Again, he should not forget Hosea, who in 6:4 lamented “my people perish for lack of Divine Knowledge.”

The undercover journalist who visited the British church and the British MP who condemned him acted ignorantly of the antithesis faith and logicality when they expressed surprise about how people were urged to give more money in return for blessings that were neither guaranteed nor cognizant of the realities on ground. The features also talked about how much of the money creamed off these worshippers are being repatriated to Nigeria (which, in a perverse sense, is a positive development!). The same Daily Mail UK, weeks before, ran a feature on another Nigerian pastor in the same UK, Alex Omokodu, who claims on his website to have raised the dead twice) and another Pastor Mbenga of the Victorious Pentecostal Assembly who scan worshippers by selling olive oil and black currant, drink at double the market rate as “miracle of cures” of terminal diseases.

Like Oyedepo, Omokodu lives large, far removed from the mess he makes of peoples’ lives. My visceral reaction at those articles was to defend my countrymen against a searchlight that might have been beamed a racist undertone. I mean Daily Mail UK suddenly woke up and realized religion is exploitative? Wow! Isn’t that what religion has been all about for many centuries? How can we say, what Oyedepo and Mbenga who were accused of peddling is different from the pope’s selling of Indulgencies in the 16th Century? Religion plays on fear to rip-off the poor and miserable in the name of God. And the irony is, the more people are deceived, the more devoted they become. So, what’s new? From appropriating people’s money to shoplifting to condoms to forcing youths to have sex, what have church leaders not done?

If people have refused to read History books that teach us that religion came to us riding- on the back of exploitation and politics, why, with the celebrated cases of Jim Bakker, Eddie Long and Benny Hinn among others, do people still throng churches and sponsor their pastors’ excesses out of their poverty? Why the case of financial scandals involving the creators of TBN Channel – some of which are so disgusting for it not to cause mass boycott of these hawkers of falsehood? Why does it spur people to defensiveness instead? Why did somebody like Jesus Oyinbo have followers in the first place and why didn’t people shout on Pastor Chris Oyakhilome when he charged gate fees before one could attend service? Seriously, who should take the blame? The person who sells Snake oil or the one who finds a psychic relief (however temporary) from buying?

Take the ease of Pastor Enoch Adeboye: On his Church website, Adeboye claims God told him he had no choice but to keep Covenant Partners alive for 10 years because they were giving to Him within that period. This takes bizarre and outlandish ideas to another height entirely. One, a god is meant to earn his keep, but Adeboye’s is one whose services people have to pay for, never mind that billions who are not his Covenant Partners are not only in but live considerably better lives elsewhere. Two, can Adeboye, personally account for every single one of his covenant partners and that in those last 10 years, not a single one died? Can he? We are used to Nigerians judges and politicians saying that their hands are tied, but God? That sounds like something from the mind of a freakish Nollywood screenwriter.

Since the news broke that Pastor Ayo Oritsejeafor has joined the league of Private Jets-Owning Pastors, there has been, thankfully, a sense of outrage at the excesses of Nigerian pastors. For the record, let me state that Pas tor Oritsejeafor’s good poster boy for Christianity (never mind the various caps he wears, anyone can be anything in Nigeria’s Pentecostalism). I make this point-debatable, of course-not just because of his Bling Bling jewellery like 50 Cents or even his bond with the present occupant of Aso Rock Villa; there is something about him and I came to this conclusion after watching him raise an offering on Cable TV- that doesn’t seem to me would wait for God to supply all his “greeds” according to his riches and glory.

His private jet was presented while he was sandwiched, like Jesus between two thieves, in the presence of a President who bizarrely declared that he couldn’t see how corruption and road accidents are interlinked and, a governor whose public morals fall below average. Rev. Fr. Matthew Kukah could not have put it better; Oritsejeafor’s moral authority is undermined by these dalliances. The issue is religion, exploitation and subsequent scandals will not go away. Not in this generation. Not even in this world. As long as there is that primitive instinct in man to seek the supernatural, to seek God and the fear of death is constantly shaken before our eyes, people will continue to subject themselves to exploitative pastors to use as they like. But the good thing Oritsejeafor has done for us is that he created a conversation; Oyedepo, Omokodu and other sellers of 21st Century Indulgences keep exposing the underbelly of these merchant pastors and shenanigans remains to be seen.

It takes more than throwing pastors in jail for their followers to be set free from the mind-prison they are ensconced in. Religion and political power are intertwined in many ways that makes it impossible to betoiled with at all. History shows that, for instance, with an Industrial Revolution, the process creates a ripple effect that bleaches people of primitiveness to transcend religious superstitions while forging a better society that is not predicated on dogmatic concepts of theodicy, which religion propagates. When the day comes in Nigeria and even Africa, these pastors will willfully choose jail as rescue from irrelevance, for time would banish them.

But here’s the problem. These pastors know that with Nigeria’s develop mental progress comes their end. And they are actively complicit in the dysfunctionality of Nigeria to extend their own longevity…… The PUNCH Pg 54 NOV. 22, 2012, www.punch

GOD IS NOT A CHRISTIAN…Archbishop Desmond Tutu

I am reading this provocative book which I brought from Cape Town titled God is Not a Christian by Archbish op Desmond Tutu. You know him, the outspoken No bel Peace laureate and the first black Archbishop of Cape Town. I have nothing to say than to invite you to join me as I bring you excerpts from this thought-provoking book about God, Christian faith and other religions. Your comments are welcome:

Most Christians believe that they get their mandate for exclusivist claims from the Bible. Jesus does say that no one can come to the Father except through Him, and in Acts we hear it proclaimed that there is no other name under Heaven that is given for salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). Those passages seem to be categorical enough to make all debates superfluous. But is this all that the Bible says, with nothing, as it were, on the side of inclusiveness and universality, and does the exclusivist case seem reasonable in the light of human history and development? Fortunately for those who contend that Christianity does not have an exclusive and proprietary claim on God, as if God were indeed a Christian, there is ample biblical evidence to support their case. John’s Gospel, in which Jesus claims to be the exclusive means of access to the Father, right at the beginning makes an even more cosmic and startling claim for Jesus, as the Light who enlightens everyone, not just Christians. (John 1:19) In Romans, St. Paul points out that everyone stands condemned as under sin before God-both Jew and Gentile (Romans 3:9). This, which is central to the teaching he intends to convey, is found in an Epistle focused on the wonder of God’s free acquittal of all.

God’s grace, bestowed freely through Jesus Christ, would be untenable if there were no universality about God’s law… An important hermeneutical principle calls us not to take the Bible texts in isolation and out of context, but to use the Bible to interpret the Bible, thus helping to ensure that our interpretation is read out of the Bible in exegesis and read into the Bible with our peculiar biases. To claim God ex clusively for Christians is to make God too small and in a real sense is blasphemous. God is bigger than Christianity and cares for more than Christians only. He has to, if only for the simple reason that Christians are late arrivals on the world scene. God has been around since even before creation, and that is a very long time. If God’s love is limited to Christians, what must the fate be of all who existed before Christ? Are they condemned to eternal perdition for no fault of their own, as they must be if the exclusivist position is to be pushed to its logical conclusion? If that were the case, we would be left with a totally untenable situation of a God who could be guilty of such bizarre justice. It is surely more acceptable and consistent with what God has revealed of his nature in Jesus Christ, and it does not violate our moral sensibilities, to say that God accepts as pleasing to Him those who live by the best lights available to them, who are guided by the most sublime ideals that claim that all truth, all sense of beauty, all awareness of and desire after goodness has one source, and that source is God, who is not confined to one place, time, and people.

My God and, I hope, your God is not sitting around apprehensive that a profound religious truth or a major scientific discovery’ is going to be made by a non-Chris tian. God rejoices that His human creatures, irrespective of race, culture, gender, or religious faith, are making exhilarating advances in science, art, music, ethics, philosophy, and law, apprehending with increasing ability the truth, the beauty, the goodness that emanate from Him. And we should also join in the divine exultation, rejoicing that there have been wonderful people such as Socrates, Aristotle, Herodotus, Hippocrates, Confucius, and others. Isn’t it obvious that Christians do not have a monopoly on virtue, on intellectual capacity, on aesthetic knowledge? And wonderfully, it does not matter. Is God dishonoured that Mahatma Gandhi was a Hindu? Shouldn’t we be glad that there was a great soul who inspired others with his teachings of satyagraha, who inspired the Christian Martin Luther King Jr. in his civil rights campaign?

Do we really have to be so ridiculous as to assert that what Mahatma Gandhi did was good, but it would have been better had he been a Christian? What evidence do we have that Christians are better? Isn’t the evidence often overwhelming in the opposite direction? Don’t we have to be reminded too that the faith to which we belong is far more often a matter of the accidents of history and geography than personal choice? If we had been born in Egypt before the Christian era, we would have been perhaps worshippers of Isis, and had we been born in India rather than in South Africa the chances are very, very considerable that we would have ended up being Hindus rather than Christians. It is worrisome that so much should made to depend on the whims of fate, by The Sun Limited, 2, Coscaris Street, Off Happy Home Avenue, Kirikiri Industrial Estate unless it is to make us more modest and less dogmatic in our claims. God can’t want people to be Christians and then seem to stack the odds so very considerably against them and then proceed to punish them for their failure. Such a God is too perverse for us to want to worship Him. I am glad that the God I worship is other than this… Many Christians would be amazed to learn of the sublime levels of spirituality that are attained in other religions, as in the best examples of Sufism and its mysticism, or the profound knowledge of meditation and stillness found in Buddhism. It is to do God scant honor to dismiss these and other religious insights as delusions, which they patently are not. We make ourselves look quite ridiculous, and our faith and the God we claim to be proclaiming are brought into disrepute.

I have met great exponents and adherents of other faiths, and I stand in awe of them and want to take my shoes off as I stand on their holy ground. I have no doubt that the Dalai Lama is one such, and you can’t but be impressed by his deep serenity, and the profound reverence that Buddhists have for life which makes them vegetarian, refraining from all killing, and constrains them to greet you with a profound bow as they say, “The God in me greets the God in you,” a greeting which we Christians could make our own more truly since we believe that every Christian is a tabernacle Of the Holy Spirit, a God-carrier. To acknowledge that other faiths must be respected and that they obviously proclaim profound religious truths is not the same thing as saying that all faiths are the same, however. They are patently not the same. We who are Christians must proclaim the truths of our faith honestly, truthfully, and without compromise, and we must assert courteously but unequivocally that we believe that all religious truth and all religious aspirations find their final fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

But we must grant to others the same right to commend their faith, hoping that the intrinsic attractiveness and ultimate truthfulness of Christianity will be what commends it to others. That as they see the impact Christianity has on the character and the life of its adherents, non-Christians would want to become Christians in their turn, just as in earlier days pagans were drawn to the church not so much by its preaching as by what they saw of the life of Christians, which made them ex claim in wonder, “How these Christians love one another!” I am not aware of any major faith that says human beings are made for a destiny other than the high des tiny of being in uninterrupted communion with the divine, however this may be defined, whether the summum bonum, the greatest good, is to be absorbed into the divine, or to exist as distinct for all eternity in nirvana, or paradise, or heaven. I am not aware that any faith has declared that it is acceptable that human beings should be victims of injustice and oppression. On the contrary, we have been able to walk arm in arm with adherents of other faiths in the cause of justice and freedom, even as fellow Christians have vilified and opposed our witness.

I hope I have done enough to convince diehard exclusivists that the Christian cause is served better by a joyful acknowledgment that God is not the special preserve of Christians and is the God of all human beings, to whom He has vouchsafed, a revelation of His nature and with whom it is possible for all to have a real encounter and relationship….
